Meghan Vogel Sportsmanship Scholarship
In June 2012, during a track and field meet Meghan Vogel, a student from West Liberty Salem High School in Ohio, showed true sportsmanship. A competing athlete collapsed in front of her during the 3200 meters race and Meghan decided to help her back up and carried the athlete to the end making sure she crossed the finish line ahead of her. Wright Construction was truly inspired by her and wanted to do something to honor her. Each year, we provide a $2,500 scholarship to a student athlete from West Liberty Salem High School.
This commitment to community and education helps us foster a culture of support and encouragement among young individuals. Scholarship recipients not only benefit from financial support, but also become part of a legacy that emphasizes the importance of helping and uplifting others. It’s fulfilling and rewarding for Wright Construction to play a small role in shaping the lives of young people and contributing positively to local areas.
