Holt High School

There are very few times where a company has an opportunity to do something extremely rare and unique. Wright Construction was given that opportunity with the Holt High School Third Floor Addition. The building area was constructed more than ten years prior at two stories but with the structural design in place to carry a third story at a future date. The existing column stubs were in place through the roof line. Given the safety challenges associated with adding a third floor on top of two existing classroom floors, Wright Construction was selected as the second low bidder.

Meticulous planning was required to begin the tie in process immediately after classes were dismissed in the late Spring of 2016 and have the addition significantly built and weather-tight by the end of the summer so that classes could re-open with no structural work remaining above the students. This was accomplished.
